Green Initiatives
At Avenue Hotel, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that small, thoughtful actions can lead to significant change, and we are proud to lead the way in creating a greener environment. To minimize waste and support our community, we encourage the donation of leftover food to local organizations. At events and banquets, we promote water conservation by requesting that water glasses not be pre-filled, and we reduce single-use waste by using china and linen instead of disposables. We also advocate for the use of electronic signage in meeting venues to cut down on paper waste and emphasize the importance of incorporating locally sourced, sustainable food into our culinary offerings. By partnering with our guests and event organizers, we strive to create meaningful, eco-friendly experiences that reflect our commitment to a sustainable future for generations to come.

Step-by-step sustainability
PLASTIC REDUCTION
Eliminating plastic bottles in our hotels
- In our journey towards plastic reduction we as a team at Avenue hotel have instructed all our staff to eliminate the use of plastic in their daily life and so our staff have opted for water bottles made of metal or other materials besides plastic and made many such small changes in their life.
- Our commitment to sustainability extends to even the smallest details like our guest laundry bags & take away bags which is used in a great quantity is bio-degradable and so we aid towards sustainability in this way to create an impact.
- We’re constantly exploring new ways to reduce waste. Our thoughtfully curated menus are designed to minimize food waste, with an emphasis on family sharing and other sustainable practices.
- We strongly believe in recycle reuse and reduce of toxic and non sustainable products and so we use ceramic cutlery rather that paper or plastic.
WASTE REDUCTION
- We're proud to have a clean and reliable source of disposing our waste every day. Our team has created a plan to reduce the hotel waste and at the same time dispose it sustainably
- We at Avenue hotel are trained to reduce, reuse & recycle waste. We do this by having a tie up with different vendors and organizations to dispose our waste. These firms collect our waste and dispose or reuse it in a sustainable way.
- Our used oil is disposed to an ISCC certified firm who then in return reuse’s it as fuel for other equipment’s and other use’s.
- At our hotel we segregate our waste and dispose it to a dedicated vendor who sends us a monthly report in which it states how much waste is recorded in each category. We have a dedicated team working on this and deliver a very good result in helping us recycle to the next level
WATER SAVING
- Water Conservation: Our Green team at Avenue hotel brainstorms ideas that we can implement at our hotel. In this way more water is conserved and we can be proud on our contributions towards saving water.
- Our staff receives training on the importance of water conservation and sustainable practices and so we conduct water reduction activities by the means of maintaining data of our towels and bedsheets that Is not changed and is reused by guest in this way we can find out how much water is saved. This is a month on month activity.
- As per the guidelines laid down by the Dubai Sustainable Tourism & Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing we follow them rigorously and aim at achieving it always. Its our Target to consume less water with each passing month.
- At Avenue hotel our Engineering team and House Keeping team are focused on checking for any leaks and wastage of water They are immediately alerted about the same and the faucet is fixed within no time.
ENERGY SAVING
- At Avenue Hotel, our staff is committed to achieving effective energy management for sustainability through various initiatives. Our staff are trained to utilize energy-efficient appliances and lighting throughout the hotel, ensuring that operations minimize energy consumption.
- Regular Maintenance: The maintenance team conducts routine checks on HVAC systems, lighting, and other equipment to ensure they operate efficiently, addressing any issues promptly.
- Guest Education: Our team informs guests about energy-saving practices, such as turning off lights and electronics when not in use, contributing to overall energy reduction. These are done indirectly as compromising guest comfort is not what is practiced here.
- Sustainable Practices: Housekeeping and maintenance staff are encouraged to adopt sustainable practices, such as using natural light during cleaning and minimizing energy use during off-peak hours. At the same time our team regularly tracks energy usage data to identify trends and areas for improvement, allowing for informed decision- making.
